Aircrete WORKSHOP REGISTRATION FORM

Time: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm both days

Cost: $600 per person

Location: 163 Upper Coomera Rd, Ferny Glen, Canungra (Dome build site)

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Full workshop manual provided to support your learning during and after the event

  • Make forms with timber and fixtures to contain the Aircrete and form building blocks
  • Make a perfect Aircrete mix using a foaming machine, air compressor and mixing tools
  • Learn techniques to create and cut blocks for building
  • Construct support structures for doorways and windows
  • Use a compass arm correctly to ensure a perfect dome shape
  • Learn exact recipes for blocks, mortar and finishes
  • Apply reinforcing mesh for structural strength
  • Fit out domes with windows and doors
  • Apply internal and external finishes for waterproofing
  • Learn best materials for the Australian climate
  • Install features such as glass tiles
  • Work as a team and gain hands-on experience
  • You will learn all the skills required to construct your own 4m diameter dome shell.
  • Please note: Due to the 2-day duration, some techniques may be discussed rather than fully demonstrated.
