2 Day Aircrete Dome building Workshop

Everything you need to start building your own Aircrete Dome in just two days

TUITION RATES

$600 per student

Please note that accommodation and meals are not included in the tuition fee.

Applications are processed in the order they are received, and your place is secured once full payment has been received.

If the workshop reaches capacity, you’ll be placed on our waiting list and offered a spot if one becomes available, or given priority access to the next workshop.

MEALS

Tea, coffee, water, morning tea, and afternoon tea are included.

Lunch is available for an additional fee.

Meals include meat, with vegan and vegetarian options available.

Please indicate your dietary requirements on the registration form.

ACCOMMODATION

Camping is available onsite amongst our majestic Hoop Pines, with toilets and hot showers provided.

BYO tent, swag, vehicle, or small RV/campervan (no large vehicles).

Cost: $20 per person, per night.

You may stay Friday night prior to and/or Sunday night after the workshop.

What You will learn at one of our workshops.

Gain practical, hands-on skills & confidence to build your own Aircrete Dome

  • Make forms with timber and fixtures to contain the Aircrete and form the building Blocks
  • Make a perfect Aircrete mix using a foaming machine, air compressor and mixing tools.
  • Learn the techniques to create, cut and stack the blocks used for building.
  • Learn about the best products to use for the Australian climate and the availability of those here in Australia.
  • Learn how to make and use a compass arm correctly to ensure a perfect dome shape.
  • Learn the exact recipes for successful blocks, mortar and finishes for the dome.
  • Learn the all-important materials and techniques for applying the reinforcing mesh which
  • Ensures the overall strength of the finished product.
  • Learn several techniques to fit out the dome with windows and doors.
  • Apply external and internal wall finishes ensuring a waterproof dome.
  • Construct an arch support structure used for doorways.
  • Discover techniques for adding and installing features like glass tiles to the walls of your dome.
  • Work with a team and have FUN
