There is a huge variety of colourful native birds and wonderful Australian wildlife right onthe doorstep. Spectacular Canyon Lookout, with sweeping views to the Gold Coast, is literally only a couple minutes’ walk away from their home and is the starting point of the beautiful Twin Falls and Warrie hikes with thundering waterfalls and ancient forests.

Situated in the Gold Coast hinterland, and only 40kms away from the beaches of Surfers Paradise, 60kms to Coolangatta Airport, and 100kms away from Brisbane.

At over 900 metres above sea level, Springbrook Plateau can be quite cool even in summer. In practical terms the temperature generally is 6-8 degrees cooler than down the mountain, so coming prepared with warmer clothing, etc, is highly recommended.
